This painting will be on display October 3 to November 2, 2011, at the OLD TOWN TRIANGLE ART GALLERY at 1763 N. North Park Avenue in Chicago in the exhibition Caffeine V: Another Brew of Stimulating Work from the Artists’ Breakfast Group. Gallery hours are 10am to 5pm Monday through Friday and 10am to 1pm on Saturday. There will be an Artists’ Reception on Sunday, October 9, from 2 to 5pm.
This watercolor was painted at the Illinois Railway Museum in Union, Illinois as part of my ongoing series AGE OF IRON: Railroad Art by George C. Clark. ”Mogul” is a type of steam locomotive that has two leading wheels, six driving wheels, and no trailing wheels.
